Facebook Rises to Dominance in Taiwan

Taiwanese are the world’s most avid Facebook users. According to data officially released by Facebook for the first time in 2013, at least 10 million people in Taiwan log on to Facebook every day. With a population of 23.35 million, that means more than 4 in every 10 Taiwanese use Facebook daily — a stickier relationship with the platform than any other country in the world. Scholars noted that the degree to which Taiwanese are attached to Facebook surpasses any previous online platform.
