*PLUR* magazine was founded in 1997 and ceased publication after four issues. It was Taiwan’s only magazine dedicated to electronic dance music and psychedelic culture, distributed by Blue Moon Records. Its principal writer was Chang Yun-chih (Monbaza); beyond music criticism and rave scene coverage, it also reported on fashion and avant-garde art, with full Chinese–English parallel text and a visual design that perfectly captured the hypnotic, futuristic quality of electronic music.

Although *PLUR*‘s decision to target only Taiwan’s rave culture readership sealed its fate, its publication marked a period of intense enthusiasm for rave culture at the time.
