In 1993, Wang Fu-jui founded Taiwan’s first experimental music label and publication, *Noise Magazine*, and released a series of compilations featuring Taiwan and international noise artists under the title “*Noise Magazine*net,” establishing a node in the international noise network. Most of the foreign artists invited by Taiwan’s noise movement came through the international network he built. After NOISE’s independent publication issued its tenth issue in 1996 — a special feature interviewing the California noise scene, published bilingually in Chinese and English — it began operating in a more open and free manner, establishing the NOISE@TAIWAN website (now defunct).
