濁水溪公社發表《台客的復仇》 LTK Commune Releases *Taik’s Eye For An Eye*

早在「台客」一詞還沒被媒體炒作的1999年，濁團就發行了專輯《台客的復仇》，曲風融合強悍的西方龐克搖滾，以及台灣鄉野民間的通俗元素，反轉並重新拼貼出他們所謂的「台客」。 Long before the term 'taikè' (台客) was media-hyped, the band released Revenge of the Taikè in 1999. Its sound fused hard Western punk rock with Taiwanese rural and folk elements — reclaiming and reappropriating what they called the 'taikè.'

2002

電視藝人於TeXound被查使用搖頭丸 TV Celebrities Caught Using Ecstasy at TeXound

2002 年蘇永康與安雅在「TeXound 台客爽」舞廳因毒品濫用被抓事件後，台北市各家舞廳風聲鶴唳，經過媒體的渲染，台客舞廳與搖頭舞廳的形象，則更被連結在一起為台灣社會所認識。 After singers William So and Anya were arrested for drug use at TeXound's 'Taikè Shuǎng' club in 2002, Taipei's dance clubs were thrown into panic. Media coverage further cemented the association between taikè clubs and drug-fueled raves in the public imagination.

2005

「戰鬥舞」於桃園舞廳開始流行 ‘Combat Dance’ Takes Hold in Taoyuan Clubs

台客搖滾嘉年華 Taikè Rock Carnival

台語由滾歌手伍佰指出，台灣一直沒有超越語言、族群的文化，自2006首次舉辦的「台客搖滾嘉年華」演唱會就是由伍佰等眾多音樂人推動台客流行文化活動之一。 Taiwan rock musician Wu Bai has observed that Taiwan has never had a culture that transcends language and ethnicity. The Taikè Rock Carnival, first held in 2006, was one of the events promoted by Wu Bai and many other musicians to popularize taikè (台客) cultural identity.
