On 3 November 2007, the independent band Sodagreen — the first independent act to perform at the Taipei Arena — got so carried away that they played for over 5 hours, crossing midnight. This compelled the Taipei Arena to establish an overtime clause: any performance running past 11 pm would incur a fine, a rule that became known as the “Sodagreen Clause.”
