1950

金光布袋戲開始流行 Jinguang Glove Puppetry Rises to Popularity

台灣1950年代，布袋戲由黃氏五洲園發展成金光戲，著名大師黃俊雄當時為求聲光特效達到刺激觀眾的效果，精研各種燈光與聲音變化，並購買錄音機錄製成黑膠唱片取代後台的敲鑼打鼓，全台大受歡迎。 In 1950s Taiwan, traditional glove puppetry evolved into the spectacular Jinguang (Golden Light) style through the Huang family troupe. Master puppeteer Huang Jun-xiong, seeking dazzling light and sound effects, acquired a recorder and pressed vinyl records to replace the traditional backstage percussion — a sensation across the island.

1982

凌威成立音樂空間「AC/DC」 Ling Wei Opens AC/DC Music Venue

凌威自1980年代起從AC/DC，在台北各地開了無數間的「Rock House」，這些音樂空間最後不僅成為樂迷與知青的聚集處，部分空間也成為樂手演練的展演空間以及培養台灣年輕DJ的實驗空間。 Starting in the 1980s, Ling Wei opened numerous 'Rock Houses' across Taipei, beginning with AC/DC. These music spaces became gathering places for fans and young intellectuals, and some evolved into performance venues for musicians and experimental training grounds for Taiwan's first generation of DJs.

1995

第一場免費瑞舞 Taiwan’s First Free Outdoor Rave

1995年7月29日，這是台灣電音舞曲歷史上關鍵的一天，DJ @llen與朋友們用卡車載運音響，在二重疏洪道舉辦了台灣第一場戶外瑞舞派對。 July 29, 1995 was a pivotal day in the history of Taiwanese electronic dance music. DJ @llen and friends loaded speakers onto a truck and held Taiwan's first outdoor rave party at the Erchong Flood Diversion Zone.

1998

首個專業 DJ軟體 Final Scratch 發表 Final Scratch, First Professional DJ Software, Released

1998年荷蘭公司N2IT推出的軟體FinalScratch，標誌著現在無處不在的數位唱盤控制系統的首次登場，同時也澈底改變了舞場DJ文化。 In 1998, Dutch company N2IT released FinalScratch — marking the debut of what would become the now-ubiquitous digital vinyl control system, fundamentally transforming DJ culture on the dance floor.

TeXound成立 TeXound Club Opens

teXound是90年代末台北以專注於播放電子舞曲而出名的舞廳。teXound 於'99年開幕，從店名、招牌所採用的字體和舞廳燈光音響設計，還有經驗豐富的DJ，無一不忠實呈現出電子舞曲特有的未來感。 TeXound was a Taipei club known in the late 1990s for its exclusive focus on electronic dance music. Opening in 1999, everything from its name, signage typography, and lighting and sound design to its experienced DJ roster faithfully evoked the futurist aesthetic characteristic of electronic dance culture.

台灣唯一的電音文化雜誌《PLUR》創刊 *PLUR*, Taiwan’s Only Electronic Music Culture Magazine, Founded

《PLUR》雜誌創刊於1997年，是台灣唯一的電音文化雜誌，由「藍月唱片」發行，張耘之(Monbaza)為主要撰寫者，除了樂評、銳舞場景，還有時尚、前衛藝術的報導，全文中英對照，美編極具未來電子的迷幻感美編極具未來電子的迷幻感。 *PLUR* magazine was founded in 1997 — Taiwan's only electronic music culture magazine, published by Blue Moon Records with Zhang Yun-zhi (Monbaza) as primary writer. Covering music criticism, rave culture, fashion, and avant-garde art, with full Chinese-English bilingual text, its design captured the psychedelic futurism of electronic culture.

2002

陳史帝於台中成立「麥芽精釀工作室」 Chen Shih-ti Establishes Malt Craft Studio in Taichung

2002年陳史帝與朋友於台中組成「麥芽精釀工作室」，為少數在台北之外的實驗電子音樂推廣據點，從事音樂創作、販售罕見唱片、教授樂器彈奏與DJ技術，並舉辦台中第一場噪音藝術節「電子原音的反擊」。 In 2002, Chen Shih-ti and friends formed 'Malt Craft Studio' in Taichung — one of the few hubs for experimental electronic music outside Taipei. It engaged in music production, sold rare records, taught instrument playing and DJ skills, and organized Taichung's first noise art festival.

2005

第一次 Bit Everysound First Bit Everysound Event

bit everysound 由2004年的表演組織post everything延續而來，自2005年起由林強、小吳(jjj)一起舉辦的音樂聚會，強調電子音樂不只是舞曲，不強調DJ個人魅力，而是整體氣氛感覺。 Bit Everysound grew out of the 2004 performance organization Post Everything. Beginning in 2005, Lim Giong and Xiao Wu (jjj) co-organized monthly music gatherings that emphasized electronic music beyond danceable tracks — prioritizing collective atmosphere over individual DJ celebrity.
