台北放送局成立 Taipei Broadcasting Station Founded

1957

台北美軍電台成立 U.S. Armed Forces Radio Taiwan Established

1950年韓戰後進駐台灣的美軍人數增多，國防部為服務在台美軍，於1955年在軍中廣播電台成立「中美軍人之聲」，1957年美軍接手開始獨立製作，成立美軍廣播電台（1979年後轉型為ICRT）。 As U.S. troop numbers in Taiwan grew after the Korean War, the Ministry of National Defense established the 'Voice of China-America' segment on military radio in 1955. In 1957, the U.S. military took over independent production, launching Armed Forces Radio Taiwan — which became ICRT after 1979.

1962

第一家電視台開播 Taiwan’s First Television Station Launches

台灣的電視史，就是從1962年十月十日台灣電視公司的首播開始，英文縮寫為TTV。是由「中日電視事業研究小組」展開的前置作業開始，並由板橋林家後裔的林柏壽擔任董事長，總經理則由省新聞處長周天翔轉任。 The history of Taiwanese television begins on October 10, 1962, with the inaugural broadcast of Taiwan Television (TTV). The station grew from preliminary work by the China-Japan Television Research Group, with Lin Bo-shou of the Banqiao Lin family as chairman and Chou Tien-hsiang as general manager.

2006

NCC成立 National Communications Commission (NCC) Established

2005年10月25日，立法院第6屆第2會期第7次會議通過《國家通訊傳播委員會組織法》後於2006 年2 月22 日成立國家通訊傳播委員會（NCC）。 Following the passage of the National Communications Commission Organization Act on October 25, 2005 during the sixth legislative session, the National Communications Commission (NCC) was formally established on February 22, 2006.

2009

台北數位藝術中心成立 Taipei Digital Arts Center Established

台北數位藝術中心自2009年起由數位藝術基金會負責營運，是台灣少數以數位藝術為設立宗旨的藝術機構，其中由王仲堃策畫的「噪咖」咖啡廳也是失聲祭等聲音藝術表演的主要演出場地之一。 The Taipei Digital Arts Center, operated by the Digital Art Foundation beginning in 2009, is one of the few arts institutions in Taiwan explicitly dedicated to digital art. 2012

文建會升格為文化部 Council for Cultural Affairs Elevated to Ministry of Culture

配合中央政府組織改造的啟動，2012年5月20日文建會改制為文化部，任務在於解決文化業務長久以來面臨人力及資源的困境，將政府組織中原本分散的文化事務予以整合為文化部。 As part of central government reorganization, the Council for Cultural Affairs was restructured into the Ministry of Culture on May 20, 2012 — consolidating previously dispersed cultural affairs under a single ministry to address long-standing challenges of insufficient staffing and resources.

2015

台灣聲景協會成立 Taiwan Soundscape Association Founded

台灣聲景協會成立於2015年，創辦人范欽慧嘗試透過錄音、教育、出版以及創辦台灣聲協會等方式去改變、推動台灣的聲響文化。 The Taiwan Soundscape Association was established in 2015. Its founder, Fan Chin-hui, has sought to transform and advance Taiwan's sonic culture through field recording, education, publication, and the founding of the Association.
