台灣第一家唱片公司開設 Taiwan’s First Record Company Established

日蓄唱片公司於1910年（明治43年）率先來到台灣發展，在臺北撫臺街設立分公司。 In 1910 (Meiji 43), Nichi-Chiku Record Company became the first to establish a presence in Taiwan, opening a branch office on Futai Street in Taipei.

日殖政府加強皇民化運動 Colonial Government Intensifies the Kominka Movement

1936 年 9 月，臺灣第 17 任總督小林躋造提出了「皇民化」治台方針，1941年皇民奉公會成立後，運動的內涵從強調國民精神涵養的皇民化層次，轉為中君愛國行動實踐積極化的「奉公」層次。 In September 1936, the 17th Governor-General of Taiwan, Kobayashi Seizō, introduced the Kominka (Japanization) policy. 日殖時代新文學運動 New Literature Movement Under Japanese Colonial Rule

從一九二○年代開始，臺灣進入了嶄新的一個階段，那便是新文化運動的開展。蔣渭水成立的臺灣文化協會為其一重要開端，而這個新文化運動其實是抗日民族解放為底的政治運動。 Beginning in the 1920s, Taiwan entered a new phase with the development of the New Culture Movement.
