滾石唱片,全名為「滾石國際音樂有限公司」(最早的名稱為滾石有聲出版社)由段鍾沂、段鍾潭兄弟於1980年所創建,是台灣首家本土唱片公司。 Rock Records (Rock International Music Co., Ltd. — originally Rock Audio Publications) was founded in 1980 by brothers Duan Zhong-yi and Duan Zhong-tan. It was Taiwan's first homegrown record label.
1981年,華國大飯店與夜總會的合作到期且不再續約,夜總會的原班人馬於林森北路開了這家名叫Diana(黛安娜)的西餐廳。但其並非供餐,而是一家Disco舞廳,也正是傳說中的全台第一家地下舞廳。 In 1981, when the Imperial Hotel's nightclub contract expired, the original nightclub team opened a restaurant called Diana on Linsen North Road. It did not actually serve food — it was a disco, and the legendary first underground dance hall in Taiwan.
卡拉OK伴唱機1971年由日本樂師井上大佑發明,取代了傳統的「那卡西」。1981年時引進台灣,由於價格昂貴,早年多為日式酒店內供客人玩樂,1990年代末期價格大幅下降後,才打入家庭市場。 Karaoke was invented in 1971 by Japanese musician Daisuke Inoue, replacing the traditional Nakashi street performers. Introduced to Taiwan in 1981, the expensive equipment was initially found only in Japanese-style clubs. It wasn't until prices dropped dramatically in the late 1990s that karaoke entered the home market.
